Next Board Meeting: Thursday September 4th, 3-5 pm at the Beach Club
As your Village Council prepares for our October election, we will be welcoming new volunteer members to the Council and saying farewell to a few current members as well. As detailed in the charter that governs our activities as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the residents of the Port Ludlow Master Planned Resort, our mandate is to Preserve, Protect, and Promote the interests of our residents while serving as a unifying force to build consensus among residents, business owners, property owners, and others having an interest in our Village in the Woods by the Bay.
It has been a very busy year, as we successfully delivered the following activities:
Researched and funded new insurance for the Trails Committee to protect our volunteers.
Presented Town Hall sessions to discuss the end of the Port Ludlow MPR Agreement with Jefferson County
Implemented a new website and outreach program to keep the community better informed.
Organized several community-wide free events, including the Yard Sale, July 5th Raffle, and the upcoming PAW Parade
Our Emergency Committee is finalizing a community wide disaster plan to keep everyone safe.
Held multiple meetings with OWSI regarding the Ice Pigging project to reduce impact on neighborhoods.
The outcomes we delivered this past year were only possible because of the amazing efforts of our volunteer council, committee, and community members who collectively invested thousands of hours to make Port Ludlow a better place to live, along with the financial support provided by your donations that sustain the activities of the Council.
Although our overall financial condition has improved significantly in the past year, we are nonetheless still completely dependent upon your donations to fund our activities in the year ahead. Last year, we received generous financial support from approximately 10% of our homeowners in the MPR. We are grateful for that support, and hope that you will continue to do so for the coming year. We trust that with the results we have delivered this past year, we will find additional financial support from even more of our residents.
We will conduct our Annual Meeting at the Bay Club on October 21st from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. That meeting will provide a more detailed review of our activities in the past year, honor our hundreds of volunteers and offer a glimpse of Village Council plans for the year ahead. Light appetizers and beverages will be served at a reception immediately following the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!
