non-profit organization, a business, government organization or club. Among the topics
discussed are travel, housing, ecology, history and animal rescue to name just a few. It
is held at either the Beach Club or the Bay Club (venue alternates) on the first Monday
evening of October through December and February through May. Each event is

The First Wednesday Luncheon began in the mid 70's and was one of the first groups open to North and South Bay residents as well as the surrounding communities.
Our mission is to support the Jefferson County Food Bank Association by collecting monetary donations and food & hygiene products while providing an opportunity for residents to meet new neighbors and continue to learn about our greater community through both entertainment and educational programs. Typically each year we ask guests to bring their own lunch about 5 times and the other 4 months, a group of volunteers provide the lunch. Over the past 16 years, we have donated roughly $130,000 and 40,000 lbs of food to the Food Bank.
We meet from 11:00 to 1:00 on the first Wed of each month, October through June, and alternate between the Bay and Beach Clubs. There is no membership required. Guests are asked to make a donation each time they attend.
We are run solely by a committee of volunteers and encourage both men and women to attend.

Almost twenty years ago, a small group of local artists met at a luncheon Their discussion soon centered on how to encourage local artists to exhibit their work. After bandying about ideas, it became clear that both Port Ludlow artists and the community would greatly benefit from an art league.
With careful planning and growing interest, the Port Ludlow Artists League (PLAL) formalized their organization in 2002. At the time, there were just12 members. Over the past 17 years, the PLAL has flourished with close to 100 members, comprised of novice, intermediary, and accomplished artists along with those that appreciate art. Responding to the diverse makeup of its members, the league changed the name to the Port Ludlow Art League.

Port Ludlow Hiking Club
The Port Ludlow Hiking Club was founded in 1989 by Herman Schweizer. The goal was to explore the wonderful hiking opportunities provided by the Olympic Peninsula and beyond. The Club is centered in Port Ludlow, but anyone who likes to hike can participate. There are no requirements or dues to join the club. Just show up and be ready to enjoy the outdoors.
Please visit their website (https://www.portludlowhikingclub.com/ ) to find the following information:
The TRAILS tab gives a brief description of some of our most popular hikes and it includes photos showing what a hiker would expect to see on the trails.
The MAPS tab provides access to local hiking maps in the Port Ludlow area. The user can view the maps online or download them so the maps can be viewed when internet access is not available.
The SCHEDULE tab provides access to the current and past Hiking Club schedules. Like the hiking maps, the schedules can be viewed online or downloaded.
The ABOUT tab provides useful information for new hikers. There are links to additional documents that outline general information for all hikers and specific information for anyone leading a hike. A map showing where to go on the day of the hike to get driving instructions and to arrange carpools is also provided.
The CONTACT tab provides a way for new hikers to request to be added to the Hiking Club distribution list. It can also be used to ask for general information about the club or specific details about a particular hike.

Description: Genuine Tai Chi and its application in life.
The Instructor has studied Tai Chi for 63 years both here and in China, and continues to study with his current teacher via Zoom and workshops. He emphasizes "Internal Power," the essence of the art, because of its usefulness in all aspects of life.
While classes are informal and fun, the essence of Tai Chi that the students are learning is serious stuff. It develops good physical and mental health and is a terrific confidence builder. You should come try a free class to see if Tai Chi is right for you.
Classes are $10 and open to the community, first class is free!
